Greenhouse Gas Management and Strategies
For reduction targets and strategic planning, Catcher submitted a commitment letter to SBTi (Science Based Target initiative) in September 2024 and obtained certification in February 2025. Following the SBTi guidelines and using 2022 as the baseline year, Catcher has established near-term targets to reduce combined absolute greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 46.2% and the emissions of Scope 3 by 27.5% by 2030. Catcher has also established long-term targets to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 by 90% by 2050.
In 2024, Catcher Group's direct greenhouse gas emissions of Scope 1 and energy indirect emissions of Scope 2 totaled 211,086.16 metric tons CO2e, achieving the staged reduction target of over 11.55% for the SBTi. Emission intensity was 11.67 (metric tons CO2e per NT$1 million revenue). Other indirect emissions of Scope 3 totaled 180,993.86 metric tons CO2e, achieving the staged reduction target of over 6.88% for the SBTi, as disclosed below. With the ongoing implementation of energy-saving initiatives at our facilities, we aim to achieve our energy conservation goals.
